iKobo, Inc. — online money transfer (www.ikobo.com). Atlanta, USA
Between 5 and 6 persons were working for iKobo at any one time, as a dedicated software engineering team. The team was divided in to two separate teams, each working on its own projects. iKobo kept in-house the overall system design. Portions of the application that could be separated and developed individually were outsourced to our team. Once delivered to iKobo, the US staff integrated the work into the overall system. In addition to the software engineering team, additional team members were added to provide customer support for Russian/Ukrainian/English speaking customers.
Sample development completed for iKobo:
Fraud control autonomous system: This system worked independent of the core system, physically located on a separate machine with its own data base. Its main function was the fraud checking of every transaction and, as needed, blocking an account until further investigation could be completed by iKobo staff.
Person to person transactions: Added new functionality for person-to-person transactions, creating a separate module for its processing. This required a rework of the core system.
Merchant Processing: Developed modules to support merchant processing.
Customer Support: Email and Instant Messaging support in local languages (Ukrainian and Russian) and in English.
Technologies used for all development work:
- C/C++,
- PHP,
- PostgreSQL,
- Linux.
