Booking Engines and OTA's Comparator Facebook Application (www.razorcoast.com)

Issue	There is a wide variety of booking engines and Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) available today, making it sometimes difficult for hotels to decide which one is the best fit for their business. To ease the process of comparing booking engines and OTA’ for their clients, an Irish company that offers support services to tourism companies in Ireland, created a series of excel spreadsheets and algorithms, but they still were looking for a way to make the spreadsheets and calculations easily accessible and available at any time.
Solution	The solution was to make the spreadsheets and corresponding comparisons available via Facebook business page. This gives a number of advantages over the existing MS excel solution, and over competition. The solution involved creating a web-based and user friendly way of comparing booking engines and OTAs. One of the requirements for the application was that the application should be easily edited with no html coding required on the admin part.
Result	The result is a user friendly application that allows a more efficient way to compare booking engines and OTAs. For the client of RazorCoast it means: Users will always have access to the latest information More users/fans coming to their Facebook page Easier administration and maintenance - The table structure of the admin section makes it easy for the administrator of the page to update content, add/remove booking engines, add/remove comparison criteria, etc.
