Issue
Noca, a California based start up, needed assistance in the development of their proprietary payment processing platform called Secure Check™.

Secure Check system is a low cost alternative to credit and debit cards. Merchants are charged a lower rate to to offer consumers the opportunity to pay securely by electronic check. Consumers sign up for the service, are validated, and can pay by echeck at any merchant that uses Noca’s Secure Check™ processing system.

Noca's Secure Check™ differs from traditional echecks in that it will manage identity and account verification as an on-line, in stream process, which eliminates one of the reasons for merchants not embracing an echeck solution since there is no automated way to verify the payer’s identity and hence guarantee payment.
Solution:
Our work with Noca started with getting the production testing environment set up and working for their payment platform. After the project's delivery it was decided to form a dedicated team that will assist in the development and further improvements of the system.

Result:
Examples of work completed up to date include:
  • Credit card integration task. Credit card transaction support development
  • Ubercart Integration task that involved development of the drupal 6.x module "Secure Check Lite" to integrate Noca system into different web sites)
  • Email improvements (adding new email formats, developing appropriate event handlers, etc.)
  • Improvements to the notification system
  • Modifying Marketplace functionality, enabling man merchants use Noca system
  • Security features development, e.g. PIN functionality for customers
  • API related tasks, e.g. adding functionality to support API key during transaction, modifying existing Lite API
  • Custom integration with specific merchants (Klatcher, Schollspeak, PetMinded, ClubSetup), etc.
