Key business challenge: How do we get more "bang" for the buck?
That was the question from the CFO of the online staffing and recruitment services firm that contacted Softjourn to determine how they could get more productivity with a limited software development budget. Softjourn conducted an offshore assessment process aimed at determining what part or parts of the Recruitment process, including the development of the tool itself, QA testing and consultancy, could be outsourced offshore, what should remain in-house and how could the company get started offshoring.
The results included a plan with variants of what to offshore and how to get started, it also included tools that the company could use to justify at what point offshoring made sense for their firm. By having Softjourn perform the offshore assessment rather than conducting it internally, the client saved approximately $15,000. Currently the firm is looking at offshoring its first area which would be QA testing.
