Go-Green — Social Networking/Informational Portal
Go-Green.com is a social networking/informational portal revolving around environmental issues. The site allows for several types of users: those that are interested in green topics related to their home, those that are interested in green topics related to their business and suppliers of green products and services.
The Go-Green project began in September of 2007 with discussions with PES management defining the objectives November of 2007. Initial delivery was made in February 2008, with the Go-Live date in April 2008. Over the course of the project the team a Project manager, three software engineers, one graphics designer and one QA tester. The site makes use of the Drupal open source content management system (CMS), http://drupal.org as well as contains customization for specific features such as: handling news, processing and working with suppliers, search functionality and advertisement.
