PrivateME for Symbian

PrivateMe for Symbian lets a user setup privacy rules for chosen contacts, e.g. reject all incoming calls except for those coming from the contacts you choose, or accept all incoming calls except for those blocked by the application. This feature can be useful when a person is in a meeting, for example, and wants to reject all calls except a call expected from an important client. Alternatively the user may want to block calls from certain contacts for a specific time period.

Developed for Symbian OS v.9.1 3rd Edition. Tested on a Nokia E65.

If the user has chosen to reject all calls or reject calls only from certain contacts, the rejection is masked so there will be no sound or graphic notification for the incoming call. All rejected calls will still be listed in the regular phone log of incoming calls. The application also allows a user to setup a notification message that can be sent to a caller with an explanation as to why you cannot accept their call. For example you may want to let the caller know you are in a meeting. Note that these notification messages are not logged in the outgoing text message log.

Note! This application depends on two other applications which must be running on your phone: background call service SCService.exe and module for Database access scdb1.dll. Removing one or both of these applications will cause the PrivateMe application to cease to work.

Important! This application is self-signed since it's currently in beta. It can ONLY be used after it's signed by a proper trusted certificate (at minimum a developer's trusted certificate). If you have no such certificate, please contact us with your device's IMEI and we will provide you a signed application.
