In response to devastating floods in the Lower Silesia region of Poland, we gathered and delivered aid to a flooded animal shelter, a children's organization, and a family who lost their home to bring them some light and support as they navigate the aftermath of this disaster.
As holiday approached, our Wrocław and Ivano-Frankivsk offices, joined by our remote global teams, came together for our annual 'ART with Heart' initiative that supports WOŚP's charity auction. The resulting artworks were all sold, surpassing last year's success, with all funds dedicated to supporting children's healthcare.
In Ukraine, we focused our efforts on providing essential winter aid to children who have lost their parents due to the war. Through a donation to the "Warmth for Children" project, led by the Children of Heroes Charity Foundation, we helped ensure these children received warm clothing, shoes, and vital firewood to endure the harsh winter months.
Recognizing the challenges faced by displaced families, we also participated in the "Feed the Furry IDPs" initiative. Our contributions provided much-needed food for 29 cats and 1 dog, ensuring these beloved pets are well-fed and cared for during difficult times.
Meanwhile, our U.S. team generously donated to three vital organizations: North Gwinnett Cooperative, providing food, clothing, and financial aid to local families; Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation, delivering humanitarian and medical support to Ukraine; and House Rabbit Society, rescuing and rehoming abandoned rabbits. To maximize the impact, Softjourn matched every employee donation, effectively doubling the contributions.
In Brazil, we extended our support to Hyppet, a platform committed to finding loving homes for stray animals. Through Hyppet, we contributed to Amigos de São Francisco, a shelter that provides care and shelter to rescued pets while they await adoption.
With a strong remote team in Albania, we made sure to give back to their community as well. We supported Fundjavë Ndryshe, Albania's largest social initiative. Their work, delivering food, clothing, and essential supplies to impoverished families, has transformed countless lives and given them hope for a brighter future.
Our team's dedication enabled these impactful initiatives, but our most significant accomplishment is the community of caring and responsible people we've built. We are honored to connect these individuals and help them support their communities.
